Passport Update

So my passport FINALLY came. It's only taken over 3 months, but, here's the kicker, my birth certificate didn't come back!

So I called the Passport Canada 1-800 line and waited through 20 minutes of elevator music (By the way, the trick to getting through is calling just before they close, between 4:30-5) . Since my application was actually processed in Calgary, all they could do was put a request into that office. The next day I received a call from the Calgary office - they didn't have it and they won't do anything about it.

So I've gone down to the Vital Statistics office to apply for a new birth certificate. I had to go down there to pay with my debit card because if I'd faxed or mailed in the application they would have charged me $5.95 to pay with my Visa! Fortunately, it's only supposed to take a week and a half to come.
