Now the sun is shining and the days are getting warmer... and I'm heading back to class. On the bright side (or the terrifying side) - it's my last semester! After five years (I did a year in psychology before heading into business), I will be
receiving my degree in the fall.
Classes started yesterday with a long, long, day - 8am to 9:30pm. Four and a half hours of class, and hour and a half break, an hour and a half or class, a two and a half hour break, and three hours of class. Long day. But at least it means that I have Tuesdays and Thursdays off for the first six weeks! Course list this semester looks like this:
- Business Strategy
- Intermediate Corporate Finance
- Employment and Labour Law
- Cross National Management
- Entrepreneurship and Small Business
I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed in the course selection offered to fourth years. Unless you're specializing or went on exchange, your choices are pretty limited. Not to mention two of the courses I was planning on taking were cancelled. In one, the prof became ill - unavoidable, but you think they'd have a backup professor. The other was cancelled due to low enrollment - my theory here is that because they originally had it conflicting with a required course, people built their schedules around the fact they wouldn't be able to take it. Grr!
At least it's really pretty on campus in the summer and I can spend my breaks between classes outside. Now I've just got to get back in to the swing of constantly reading!
